The International Minerals Innovation Institute (IMII) is proud to announce on behalf of its members, the recipients of the 2025 IMII Rockstar Scholarships. These scholarships celebrate outstanding students committed to pursuing careers in Saskatchewan’s mining and minerals sector.

Valued at $7,500 per award, the IMII Rockstar Scholarship recognizes emerging leaders who demonstrate exceptional drive, academic promise, and a strong commitment to shaping the future of Saskatchewan’s mining and minerals industry. The scholarship supports students in high-demand fields by helping reduce financial barriers as they pursue their educational and professional goals. In addition to strong academic performance, mining sector aspirations and community leadership, the scholarship seeks to provide opportunities for underrepresented groups, including women, Indigenous learners, and new Canadians to undertake mining-relevant education programs. Scholarship categories reflect the diverse pathways into the mining and minerals industry, including certificate, diploma, and degree programs.

“We are thrilled to recognize these talented individuals who embody the innovation, commitment and passion that the mining and minerals sector depends on,” said Lesley McGilp, Executive Director. “Each recipient brings their unique experiences and vision that will support the development of the mines of tomorrow.”

The IMII Rockstar Scholarships support students across Saskatchewan who are entering careers in mining and minerals to help build a diversified and resilient workforce for the future.
